Polished Trocha niloticus. This sharp sea snail called "Mother of pearl Trocha" is still used to cut mother-of-pearl buttons,due to the big thickness of its shell. Also caught for it's meat in the Indo-Pacific area. Framed in three dimensions in a black iron cage. A more contemporary spirit for this natural curiosity.
