Taking you back to the West of Ireland...
There is no better place than the original home of Wild Atlantique, here along the Wild Atlantic Way, halfway from Malin Head to Kinsale. The town of Westport is indeed special. Described online by Google...
'Westport is a town on the edge of an Atlantic inlet, on Ireland’s west coast. In the Georgian town centre, stone bridges link the tree-lined promenade on the banks of the Carrowbeg River. Rockfleet Castle and Burrishoole Abbey, both to the northwest, have ties to the 16th-century pirate queen, Grace O’ Malley. The Great Western Greenway bike and pedestrian trail runs from Westport to Achill Island, in the northwest.'
Westport is on the southeast corner of Clew Bay, with views out to the Atlantic Ocean and Clare Island.
'Westport is designated as a heritage town, and is one of only a few planned towns in Ireland. The town centre was laid-out in the Georgian architectural style, and incorporates the Carrow Beg river into the design composition. This provides for tree lined promenades (known as The Mall) and several stone bridges.

The pilgrimage mountain of Croagh Patrick, known locally as "the Reek", lies some 10 km west of the town near the villages of Murrisk and Lecanvey. The mountain forms the backdrop to the town.' Wikipedia
Westport has recently (2024) won Ireland's Tidiest Large Town' and is often picked as a superior place to live, work and visit here in Ireland.
I am happy to say that after the concept store in St Helier closed in November '24, the journey back to Ireland has concluded in this special place. Wild Atlantique will continue as an online store for now, offering both Interior Design Services (Mackay & Co Designs) and special items for sale, from new sustainable products to vintage items not readily found in the common marketplace. So stay tuned for more...
